Una noche mágica de verdad, que ganas tenía de ver a estos musicazos en su salsa, y es que recién llegado de La Habana sin apenas tiempo de dejar la maleta en mi casa, Roberto Carcasses se ha venido corriendo al Jamboree, y con Carlos Sarduy han vuelto a descargar junto con otros dos musicazos de lujo, Kiki Ferrer a la batería, tremendo, y Santiago Greco, monstruo de verdad recién descubierto por todos nosotros gracias a Kiki.

Los que hemos tenido el lujo de compartir, en el escenario o como público, hemos gozado de verdad con este personal estratosférico, y eso que se veían hoy por primera vez en meses, años y en el caso de Santi, quizás siglos y reencarnaciones… pero como si fuera ayer, ha sido una doble sesión conciertazo que nos ha alimentado el alma a todos los que estábamos. Ha sido como volver atrás a esos 1998-99 en que Roberto aterrizó aquí con Columna B y nos rompió los esquemas a todos.

A truly magical night, I had really been looking forward to seeing these musicians in their element. So, just after arriving from Havana, without even a moment to leave his bag in my house, Roberto Carcassés came straight to Jamboree, and with Carlos Sarduy came to play with two other great artists, Kiki Ferrer on drums and, tremendous, and Santiago Greco on bass, a true monster and new discovery for all of us, thanks to Kiki.

We had the pleasure to share the moment, on the stage or in the audience, we really enjoyed being with and hearing these stratospheric individuals, and since it’s the first time we’ve seen them in months or years, or in Santi’s case, maybe centuries of reincarnations… but it felt like it was only was yesterday, and it turned out to be a double-session concert that energized the spirits of everyone who was there. It felt like going back in time to that year 1998-99, when Roberto came here with Columna B and blew all our minds for the first time.
