Jugando en casa, la Marina ha estado realmente genial, y todos hemos estao a tope en nuestro primer concierto del triplete fin de gira Techarí 06. Claro, en casa, con toa la familia, los viejos amigos… ella estaba feliz, emocionada y disfrutando de este bolo especial con nuestros primeros invitados en llegar; Roberto, Gyan, Román, Santi y Toni… y a cada concierto se van a añadir más, en Madrid el Pepe Habichuela, toma ya!, pa nosotros un honor estar con él, y ya en Barna los que faltan del disco, eso será tremendo!!! Porque de verdad que la sensación de volar con la sección de vientos que es NBA total y ni te digo el Roberto (de los más grandes pianistas de Cuba), la cosa camina que es una pasada. Hoy era como una apisonadora, hemos gozado que te cagas!!

Y es que nos hemos sentido todos muy muy a gusto, muy sincronizados, todo caminaba de puta madre y con fuerza, y es que vaya lujo tener a estos pedazo de artistas con nosotros… piano, dhol-tabla, saxo, trombón y baile respectivamente engrasaban nuestro engranaje con tempo y compás a tope… joer tu, que sensación tan potente, de verdad que vaya lujo, y la cosa acaba de empezar. Pues si señores, mañana se une Pepe Habichuela al grupo para el concierto de Madrid y así irán llegando todos los músicos del disco poco a poco pa seguir ensayando y culminar casi al completo en el último concierto “Techarí” en Barcelona, en donde filmaremos y grabaremos para nuestro próximo DVD. De verdad que quedan dos ocasiónes únicas e irrepetibles…

Playing at home, Marina has been absolutely brilliant, and all of us were in good form for our first concert of the Techarí Tour 2006. Of course, in her element, with the whole family, old friends… she was especially happy and emotional and really enjoying this special show with our first batch of guests: Roberto, Gyan, Román, Santi and Toni… and each show will be adding more, in Madrid, Pepe Habichuela, wow – such an honor for us to play with him – and in Barcelona, the rest of the people who played on the album, it’s going to be unbelievable. Seriously, the feeling of flight you get from the horns is just out of this world, and that’s to say nothing of Roberto (one of the great Cuban pianists), who is just a thing of beauty. Today was like a streamroller and we really enjoyed the hell out of ourselves!

What’s happening is that we’re feeling very well, really synchronized, everyone stepping up nicely and strongly, and it’s such a treat to have these incredible musicians playing with us – piano, dhol-tabla, sax, trombone and dancers really got our wheels spinning with the highest level of rhythm and compás… and oh yes, folks, tomorrow with Pepe and then, slowly, the rest arrive, until culminating almost everyone in the last Techarí concert in Barcelona, where we will be filming and recording our next DVD. They will truly be two unique, once in a lifetime occasions!
